Tracklist:
1. Honest Little Words
2. Saturated
3. Six
4. Two Weeks Notice
Clockwork Noise, a band from lovely Ireland. Having released an album in 2005 (If I Wanted, I Could) and soon to release another EP, Clockwork Noise is ready to finally really establish a name in the music industry. With clever alternative rock songs that hint to progressive, blues-rock, & industrial at times, they have a unique sound that will conquer many hearts.
Honest Little Words
The newest song on the myspace player is Honest Little Words. It’s a painfully beautiful song. The way the music sets the mood for this song is amazing. And the vocals are intense. It’s just a home demo so the production of the track isn’t top notch, but for those who are able to look past that, they can find a rough little gem of a song here. Something to cherish and listen to over and over again.
Saturated
Saturated, taken off Clockwork Noise’s debut album “If I Would, I Could” sounds like a more melodic Queens of the Stone Age mixed with an act like Black Crowes or even Grateful Dead. Clockwork Noise show the same inventivity as, for example, Grateful Dead did. The song flows really well and you can get into the beat pretty easily.
Six
Another song off “If I Would, I Could”, called Six has a cool alternative sound. It reminds me somewhat of Smashing Pumpkins’ Whir off the Pisces Iscariot album. Six, however, has a little more of a rock edge though.
Two Weeks Notice
Two Weeks Notice, one of the songs that Clockwork Noise did for the short movie “Kowboys”, is a great song. Is there something like industrial rootsrock? It has this bluesy/rootsy thing going on, captured in the layers of the song. But on the other hand it is alternative/industrial in the likes of Queens of the Stone Age. The way these things are combined is very refreshing and shows the creativity and quality Clockwork Noise produces.
