Alkaline Trio’s self-titled release is basically a collection of older songs. It’s a good release containing some of their best songs but I won’t write too much about it because a good number of the songs can be heard on other releases.
Goodbye Forever, I Lied My Face Off, Southern Rock, & ’97 are the album’s top tracks, but overall this band just does what they do very well. Their energetic mix of punk/rock and rock & roll is infectious and better than most of the other bands in the genre.
“Alkaline Trio” is a nice testament to the music this band has released up to now and this collection of songs makes us hope for more, new releases in the future.
