AMO
July 2015
Self-released
When I listen to AMO's Twelve I hear instant professionalism and I'm thoroughly impressed by what I hear. Right off the bat there's a certain tension and suspense that draws you in and the track keeps you on your toes right until the end. And for me this transcends the genre of electronic music. When I close my eyes I feel like I'm in a theme park ride because it has a certain intensity and suspense that I associate with that. So I consider it more of an experience than just an arrangement.
At times the track can get a little jumpy that takes away slightly from the epic nature of the overall sound but I'm nitpicking here. The intense and bombastic basis of the track comes across as a march of grandeur that has a splendid urgency to it that drives you to get involved. If the rest of the record ends up in this fashion, AMO may well have something very special on their hands.
